Leigh Striegler, Principal Free spirit and Olive's founder, Leigh worked as an independent graphic designer with three leading firms, most recently Parallel Vancouver, before forming the company in 1999. She studied both graphic and fashion design, and has a broad range of experience, from corporate identity and magazine design to annual reports and Web sites. Her clients include corporate types, not for profit groups, professional services people and artists. A burning desire to work hard and play harder, combined with a serendipitous snowboarding accident were the inspiration for Olive Design. For Leigh, it's a dream work/lifestyle come true: from the production meetings at Kits Pool to the famous client martini parties. Next up: the resident studio dog, and ultimately, there'll be an Olive Design studio in Hawaii. Laura Redmond You might call Laura's move to Olive "a lucky break". After nine years as a graphic designer with Westpoint Graphics, she had decided to leave without having another job lined up. That left Laura free to become Leigh's "right hand" when her own was wrapped in a fluorescent pink "Barbie" cast. A firm believer in the power of meditation and yoga, Laura brings some Zen-like serenity to the studio, along with a dozen years of design experience. She has worked with many different retail and corporate clients, and holds an "Art in Merchandising" diploma from Langara College.
